There is something entirely transformative about placing a crown upon someone’s head. It isn't just about the weight of the metal or the catch of the light; it’s about the immediate shift in posture, the quiet reclaiming of power, and the way the shadows bend to frame a ruler.
For the next two months, I am bringing that exact transformation to the lens.
I am incredibly excited to announce that The Summer Sovereigns Collection sessions will be running all through June and July. This is a dedicated, limited-run creative event designed for individuals and couples who want to step out of the ordinary and into a bold, moody, fine-art portrait experience.
But this summer, the sovereigns are traveling.
The Home Front: Dramatic Shadows in DFW
Right here at home in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we will be spendng June and July chasing the deep, high-contrast interplay of light and shadow that defines my signature style.
Our local sessions will leverage the raw, intense Texan golden hours and dramatic studio environments to create powerful, cinematic portraiture. My full, custom-curated luxury crown kit—featuring intricate gold filigree, deep black onyx gems, and a brand-new, hand-built geometric sunburst halo—will be completely at your disposal.
Whether you want to channel a dark academia aesthetic, an elegant high-fashion statement, or a sovereign straight out of a dark fantasy epic, we are going to build an absolute masterpiece right here in North Texas.
The Destination: Sunset on the Columbia River
On Sunday, July 5th, the collection goes mobile.
I am returning to my neck of the woods in the Pacific Northwest for an incredibly tight, one-night-only creative pop-up at Wintler Community Park in Vancouver, Washington.
We will be tracking the sunset right down to the riverbed, using the expansive, moody waters of the Columbia River as our backdrop. The Pacific Northwest has a distinct, atmospheric twilight that pairs perfectly with deep shadows and rim lighting. I am packing up the entire crown kit and bringing this exact DFW-born style straight to the river sands.
Because of a very strict travel window, I am opening up exactly THREE exclusive time blocks for the Vancouver waterfront:
- 7:30 PM – Golden Hour Details
- 8:15 PM – Sunset Horizon Silhouettes
- 9:00 PM – Moody Blue Hour Twilight
